Razan al-Najjar

We are mourning the death of 21-year-old Palestinian peacemaker Razan al-Najjar.  She was killed by an Israeli sniper on June 1 while tending to wounded nonviolent protesters of the Great Return.

As an unarmed nurse in white uniform, she was protected by international law.  Although she had been wounded on April 13 doing her work of mercy, she returned to die.

“We have one goal—to save lives and evacuate people. And to send a message to the world: Without weapons, we can do anything.”
