Irish peace activist; wife of rock star Bono; 5 weeks famine relief Ethiopia 1985; aid to Nicaragua and Salvador 1986; led protest at Sellafield nuclear plant 1992; aboard Greenpeace’s MV Solo protesting Norwegian whaling 1994; Chernobyl documentary and aid 1993; ran 1.3 million postcard campaign against Sellafield 2002.
