Johanne Meyer born Aalborg, Denmark July 1, 1838 (d. 1915). Pioneering radical suffragist; editor and orator; democratic socialist. Founded national Theosophical society. Longtime leader of Danish Peace Society. Tried to present King Christian IX with petition of 230,000 signatures for peace, 1893. Founding member, Danish Women’s Peace Association, 1906.
